Born and raised in 1930s Philadelphia, PA, Master Sgt. Frank Woods served in the United States Marine Corps, during which he had much combat experience fighting in the Korean War. This gained him a reputation that led the CIA to recruit him for their Special Activities Division. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, he's one of the four Archetypes brought back to life, possibly because of the efforts of Project Blackout, to instruct specialists with their various equipment and weapons.
